myself and my sister and I even shed a tear towards the end and it kept me guessing right until the end too Sleep Peacefully is the authors first self published book and I have to say I am quite impressed. The story is very much a psychological thriller yet it isn t fast paced The author gently takes us through the story slowly unravelling little snippets of information so that the reader is not put down.Nat Natalie is a great character who though tragically has lost her father thenrecently her sister Jess, she seems to have the perfect life Well to be fair her life is perfect if it wasn t for the dreams of her sister that keep persisting which leaves Nat thinking that there isto the death of her younger sister than she was led to believe.Sleep Peacefully does make you question if you really know the people that we love as well as we think we do There is very much a sense of family though in the book The bond between Nat and her mum and brother really stands out in the story and I really enjoyed reading about them. For anyone who loves psychological thrillers from arelaxed approach will love this book I have to say it certainly surprised me and I think this author is one to certainly watch out for. Many thanks to the author for allowing me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review Brilliant Really enjoyed another book by this very talented writer Love it when guessing through to the end From the beginning, you think it s going to be a story about a family stricken with grief but Marshall has shocked me with how she managed to turn it in to a thriller and change direction completely within a few chapters. This is a classic whodunit with the potential for it to be one of many characters Marshall really keeps you on your toes and Sleep Peacefully makes for a must read.My only criticism of this book is that it took a while for me to get truly stuck in to and I felt it didn t quite flow as smoothly as it could have done However, this is Marshall s first book so I really believe that her writing can only get better as this is a brilliant debut novel Sleep Peacefully is the debut novel from NC Marshall and an astounding one at that. This isn t your usual fast paced psychological thriller as the story is subtly revealed in tiny pieces which cleverly pulls you into the story.Nat s sister Jess died, in what everyone believed to be a tragic to becomefrequent Nat begins to think that maybe there wasto Jess death than anyone knows so she starts to lookclosely at her sisters life. The story is told in two parallel narratives, one being Nat and the other in the form of flashbacks of Jess life when she was alive As secrets are revealed it looks like Nat didn t know her sister anywhere near as well as she thought she did.The two narratives work seamlessly together and the story flows well The revelations come at a steady speed and despite the fact that I m a big fan of fast paced thrillers, the story kept my interest and I was compelled to keep reading The characters were very believable and there was enough background on them all to give them credibility and the eventual perpetrator was exceptionally hidden in my opinion.I devoured this book over the course of two nights and I m eagerly awaiting the next offering from this wonderful debut author This is a phenomenal debut from NC Marshall that had me gripped from start to finish I had chosen this book as my lunchtime read but after about a third of the way in, it became my morning, noon and night read As Nat digs into Jess s life and Jess s secrets are uncovered I absolutely they were close, they confided in each other but when Nat investigates Jess s death she questions whether she actually knew her sister at all. There are certainlygasp out loud moments in this book than I ever imagined From family secrets being revealed to ghostly manifestations, this book had me holding my breath on the edge of my seat with my heart beating out of my chest I expected a family story of love and loss but there s a very clever thriller bubbling under the surface of this book that successfully managed to surprise me, as I was pointing my finger at completely the wrong person I m not going to reveal any secrets buried within the wonderful pages of this book, but I am confident that you won t be disappointed when you read it for yourself. With a twist that I didn t see coming at all, I heartily recommend this book and will be looking forward tobooks from NC Marshall.I received this e book from the author in exchange for an honest review Great readIve just read, See You Soon
